A new Rotary year is the perfect opportunity to take a fresh look at how your club is presented to your members, prospective members, and your community. Your club's website and social media channels are often the first impression someone has of Rotary. Are they current? Are they welcoming? Do they tell your club's story?

The Rotary New Year Checklist was created to help clubs conduct a simple Public Image Audit and ensure their communication tools are working for them—not against them.

The checklist walks clubs through reviewing:

  • Website – Verify club contacts, update speakers and events, and refresh your homepage with current stories and photos.
  • Social Media – Check your profile and cover images, confirm administrator access, review your About section, ensure your page is public, and create a plan for consistent posting and member engagement.
  • Printed Materials – Update brochures, banners, email signatures, and other promotional materials with current Rotary branding.
  • Club Promotion – Take advantage of District Public Image resources by submitting club stories, new member announcements, and events for promotion through the District newsletter and social media.

A Public Image Audit doesn't have to be complicated. Spending just a little time reviewing these areas can help your club present a professional, consistent Rotary brand while making it easier for your community to learn about the incredible impact you're making.

As you begin the new Rotary year, challenge your Public Image Chair—or your entire club leadership team—to complete the checklist and make Public Image a priority from day one.

Strong clubs tell their stories. Great clubs tell them consistently.
