Rotary Global Grant GG2687074 supports the launch of the White Stone Sweet Bread Bakery, a sustainable enterprise designed to create jobs, develop entrepreneurs and    s   strengthen communities through dignified work in Sierra Leone, West Africa. This project prioritizes long-term economic empowerment over short-term relief by providing vocational training and teaching financial literacy to women and youth. Once operational, the bakery will nourish 13 communities daily and fund school meals for children who might otherwise go hungry.
The grant is being led by the Lone Star eClub and the Rotary Club of Bo (Sierra Leone) with financial support from District 5910. The project budget is $130,000, of which almost $100,000 has already been pledged. Learn how you or your club can support this project and be part of the impact by contacting Réal Provencher, D5910 Global Grants Chair, at rprovencher@mac.com or by phone at 832-277-8323.
