The Rotary Club of Texas City received a matching grant to provide an outdoor bench and two trash receptacles to the Resource Crisis Center. Rotarians Sonny Tholcken, Tommy Toups and President Peggy delivered the items to the center April 23. Dennis Ferguson was excited to have these for the women and children who stay there.

 Texas City Rotary Club awards $52,000.00 in Scholarships Congratulations to the Texas City High School Scholarship Recipients. The students received $52,000 in scholarship funds. 11th Annual Mardi Gras “Mask”uerade Ball and Parade A Success The Rotary Club of Texas City was able to hold their largest and only fundraiser for this Rotary year. Net proceeds of $50,000 will help to fund scholarships, I Like Me Books, RYLA and many other community and International projects and programs that our club supports. Parade was a go!! The rain held off and many floats, boats, cars, SUV’s, and a high school band made the parade a success. Thanks to Jay Carnes for organizing the parade and the City of Texas City for their donation of a clean-up crew, police support and the local Marine Corp group for handling the parade lineup. | ||
