Membership Matters in District 5910

As we embrace 2018 and explore the many opportunities to build our membership, I remain optimistic that we are about to experience a major increase.  As a Rotarian since 1999, I recognize we must first retain our current membership and then employ a strategic plan to recruit the right prospective members that will be invested for a lifetime.  As we enter our halfway point to our 2017-2018 year, I encourage each President and Club Administrator to review your current club membership rosters and develop a collective plan to retain, grow and promote your Membership.

Rotary membership has been on a continuous decline in our paired Zones 21b & 27. District 5910 began the year (7-1-17) with a total membership of 2233 in our 39 clubs and today we currently sit at 2227, leaving our District at a (-6).  While we have observed exceptional growth in several of our Clubs others have seen tremendous decline.  However we must acknowledge that we have time to conclude this Rotary year with significant positivity and it is all up to each of us.  I know we will continue to bring new members into Rotary and demonstrate the reason why the oldest service organization in the World has more than 1.2 million members.

The commitment to service as well as our love for Rotary defines why District 5910 makes a major impact in communities across our 39 clubs and if each Rotarian would bring one new member into Rotary over the next 6 months, just imagine what we could do.  Now are you ready to for the charge.......Incredible Rotarians making a Difference around the World.........Membership Matters!
